No. Calculator Vault functions as a complete, working calculator for all normal calculations. There is no visible "vault" button or indicator. Only someone who enters the correct PIN discovers what's inside.
For your security, there is no "forgot PIN" recovery — that would create an exploit. We strongly recommend enabling Face ID / Touch ID as a backup. If you lose your PIN without biometric backup, the vault contents are inaccessible by design.
Yes. All files are encrypted with AES-256-GCM before being written to disk. Even with full file system access, the encrypted blobs are unreadable without your key — which is stored in iOS Keychain, protected by the Secure Enclave. Without your PIN or biometric, the data is mathematically inaccessible.
Never, unless you explicitly enable iCloud Backup. In that case your files are fully encrypted on your device before being sent to your personal iCloud storage — we have zero access to the encrypted data.
The Decoy Vault is a second PIN that opens a completely empty vault. If someone pressures you to unlock the app, you enter the decoy PIN — they see nothing. Your real vault, opened by a different PIN, remains completely hidden. Designed for situations where you face social coercion.
