🔐 The short version: Calculator Vault stores everything on your device. We have no servers. We never see your files, your PIN, or who you are. This policy explains that in full legal detail.
Calculator Vault is designed with a zero-knowledge architecture. We do not collect, store, transmit, or have access to:
Every file you import into Calculator Vault is encrypted using AES-256-GCM and stored exclusively on your iPhone's local storage. Files are never transmitted over the internet unless you explicitly enable iCloud Backup (which uses your own Apple ID and Apple's encrypted infrastructure — not our servers).
We have no servers that store user data. This is by design, not accident.
Calculator Vault uses the following third-party services to improve stability and performance. None of these services can access your vault contents, your PIN, or any files stored in the app.
Firebase Analytics (Google LLC)
We use Firebase Analytics to collect anonymous, aggregate usage statistics — for example, which features are used most often. This data contains no personally identifiable information and cannot be linked to you as an individual. Google's Privacy Policy applies to data processed by Firebase Analytics.
Firebase Crashlytics (Google LLC)
When the app crashes, Crashlytics automatically sends a technical crash report to help us identify and fix bugs. These reports contain device model, iOS version, and a stack trace of the crash — never your vault contents, photos, or any personal data. Google's Privacy Policy applies.
You can disable both by going to: iPhone Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements → toggle off "Share iPhone Analytics."
All purchases are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We receive only a confirmation that a purchase was completed — never your payment details, card information, or billing address. Apple's Privacy Policy governs all payment data.
If you choose to enable iCloud Backup, your encrypted vault data is stored in your personal iCloud account using Apple's infrastructure. We do not have access to your iCloud data. The encryption keys never leave your device.
Camera Access: If you enable the Security Snapshot feature, the front camera captures a photo when an incorrect PIN is entered. This photo is stored locally on your device, inside your encrypted vault — it is never transmitted to us or any third party.
Location Data: If you enable the Emergency PIN or break-in alert features, Calculator Vault may optionally record the device's approximate location at the time of a detected intrusion. This location data is stored locally on your device only. It is never sent to our servers. If you configure emergency contacts, you may choose to include location data in an SMS or email — that sharing is entirely your choice and is not automatic.
Both camera and location access require your explicit permission via iOS permission prompts. You can revoke these permissions at any time in iPhone Settings → Calculator Vault.
Calculator Vault is not directed at children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal data, please contact us so we can address it.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page when changes are made. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
