What is Invoice Maker?

Invoice Maker is a professional invoicing app for freelancers, contractors, and small businesses. Create and send PDF invoices, track payments, manage clients, and handle EU VAT automatically — all from your iPhone.

Which iOS versions are supported?

Invoice Maker requires iOS 17.0 or later. It works on iPhone and iPad.

What languages are available?

Invoice Maker is available in 15 languages: English, German, French, Dutch, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, Greek, Swedish, Danish, Finnish, Polish, Czech, Hungarian, and Romanian.

Does the app work without internet?

Yes. Creating and editing invoices works offline. iCloud sync requires an internet connection when syncing across devices.

Creating Invoices

How do I create my first invoice?

Tap the + button on the Invoices screen. Add your client, line items, and any applicable VAT. Your invoice number is assigned automatically. Tap "Save" and then share it as a PDF via email, WhatsApp, or any sharing method.

Can I add my company logo?

Yes. Go to Settings → Business Profile and upload your logo. It will appear on all your invoices automatically.

What templates are available?

Invoice Maker includes 3 professional templates: Classic, Modern, and Minimal. You can switch templates at any time from the invoice editor.

Can I create estimates and quotes?

Yes. Invoice Maker supports both invoices and estimates. You can convert an estimate to an invoice with a single tap once the work is approved.

How do late payment fees work?

You can set a late payment fee percentage in your invoice settings. When an invoice becomes overdue, Invoice Maker can automatically calculate and show the fee amount.

VAT & Tax

How does automatic VAT work?

Set your business country and VAT registration number in Settings → Business Profile. Invoice Maker applies the correct VAT rate automatically when you add line items. For EU B2B invoices, it handles reverse charge automatically when you add a client's VAT number.

What is reverse charge (B2B EU)?

When a VAT-registered business in one EU country invoices a VAT-registered business in another EU country, the reverse charge mechanism applies — no VAT is charged, and the note "VAT reverse charge" appears on the invoice. Invoice Maker handles this automatically when you enter your client's EU VAT number.

I am not VAT registered. Can I still use the app?

Absolutely. You can disable VAT in Settings and create clean invoices without any tax lines.

Pro Subscription

What's included in Pro?

Pro unlocks: unlimited invoices and estimates, all 3 templates, custom logo and branding, late payment fee calculator, and priority support.

How much does Pro cost?

Pro is available as: Weekly ($2.99/week), Monthly ($7.99/month), or Annual ($49.99/year). The monthly plan offers the best value per feature.

How do I cancel my subscription?

To cancel your subscription:

  1. Open the Settings app on your iPhone
  2. Tap your name at the top
  3. Tap "Subscriptions"
  4. Find Invoice Maker and tap "Cancel Subscription"

You'll continue to have Pro access until the end of your current billing period.

How do I restore my purchase?

If you've reinstalled the app or switched devices:

  1. Open Invoice Maker
  2. Go to Settings
  3. Tap "Restore Purchases"

Make sure you're signed in with the same Apple ID used for the original purchase.

How do I request a refund?

Refunds are handled by Apple. To request a refund:

  1. Visit reportaproblem.apple.com
  2. Sign in with your Apple ID
  3. Find Invoice Maker in your purchase history
  4. Select "Request a refund"

iCloud & Data

How does iCloud sync work?

Make sure iCloud Drive is enabled on your device (Settings → [Your Name] → iCloud → iCloud Drive). Invoice Maker syncs automatically whenever your device has internet access.

What happens to my data if I cancel Pro?

Your invoices and client data remain on your device. You can still view all existing invoices. Creating new invoices may be limited to free plan restrictions.

Can I export all my invoices?

Yes. Each invoice can be exported as a PDF individually and shared via email, AirDrop, or any file-sharing app.

Technical Issues

The app is crashing. What should I do?

Try these steps:

  1. Close the app completely and reopen it
  2. Restart your device
  3. Check for app updates in the App Store
  4. If the issue persists, contact us with your device model and iOS version

How do I change the app language?

Go to Settings in the app and select your preferred language. The app updates immediately — no restart needed.
